The scientific name of this herb is Usnea hieronymi, and belongs to the family Usneaceae.
Usnea or Yerba de la Piedra in Spanish, has their origins in southern Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
The grass of the stone is a tree lichen that grows 5 to 7 cm tall, greyish-green, cylindrical with appendices deciduous twigs.
This herb grows on the rocks of the fields, mountains and hills.

Recipes from this medicinal plant:

Decoction, use one tablespoon of the herb per liter of water, and let it boil for 3 to 5 minutes.

A concoction of 1% is used as a tonic in chlorosis.

In 3% infusion this plant is used as anti dyspeptic.

A concoction of 2% is used for gargling and cleaning wounds, for its astringent properties.

Usnea hieronymi it also applies the powder in ulcerous wounds.
